Life with No arms!No legs! - No limits

My wife ran across this guys story and honestly I just have to share my thoughts and how this guy made my family and I think about, well everything.

Although this is way off topic of electronics. Nick Vujici is really an incredible person and his story needs to be shared, not because of his issues but because of his attitude and way of looking at life. I sat and watch this short video of him and found myself not feeling sorry for him but honestly feeling sorry for myself.

I sat and listened to the trials and tribulations he has seen through his life so far and the fact that he finds ways around every issue no matter how big or small it is, and most of us can’t get around what we are having for dinner tonight, god for bid it’s chicken AGAIN.


But after watching Nick’s video the family and I sat down and just started talking about what we just watched and the funny thing is we all found some way to relate to him. we all felt warm and thankful for what we have and not upset for what we don't have, we felt thankful for the things that went good that day and for anything that didn't go so good we all started thinking "well it could have been worse"

Nicks storey made us realize that our life is not so bad after all, and neither is his, take what you have and enjoy it.

There isn’t much I can actually say about Nick, but he defiantly makes you look at your own life and rethink your so called troubles, how tough is your day to day life? I know for my family and I we have started looking at our daily troubles differently.

Nick Vujici has to be the most incredible person, to look at life the way he does, and to share it with everyone else, you can’t but help being happy when you listen to him.

Memory Upgrade – I9 Phone

Well we are back with some more helpful tips about the I9 Phone. Last time we explained how to get songs onto your I9 phone, if you have been putting songs and taking pictures you are probably running out of memory and it’s getting a little frustrating. Well what most people don’t know is that you can increase the memory on your I9 cell phone simply by changing the memory card for a larger one. Now I know that some of you may be nervous about doing this yourself but that’s why I am putting up this post, I did it with mine and now I have tones of room for memory and honestly it was so simple it’s scary. So without wasting too much time let’s get to the memory upgrade instructions for your I9 Phone.

First you will need to get yourself a new BIGGER microSD card, and then you will need your phone and some tools. No not a hammer just two screw drivers on Philips and on flat head.

Now you will take the two small screws out from the bottom of the phone using the Philips screwdriver, once that is done you simply pull the back off the phone (you may use the small flat head to get on side started)
once the back is off you (with some care) gently pry the battery off which is simply locked in place using two sided foam tape, now you can either use your hands and simply pull the battery off but make sure not to pull the sim card slot apart as the battery is taped to it, so make sure you hold the sim slot with one hand and pull with the other. I use the flat head and simply place it between the slot and the battery and slowly pry the battery off.


Once you have the battery off your phone should look like this.



Ok now looking at your phone you should see the memory card at the top right of the phone, the bracket holding it is placed in such a position that you cannot simply slide the SD card out, so how do you change it? Simple just slide the steel holding case down and it will pop up.

From here all you do is switch the SD card that came with your phone for the BIGGER one you have and then close the steel holding case and slide it up to lock the new bigger memory in place. Now you stick the battery back into place, put the back cover back on your phone, making sure it is clicked into place properly, then put the screws back in and voila you now have more memory and if you need even more then all you have to do is purchase a bigger SD card and do it again.

This procedure is very simple and doesn’t take anytime at all to do, the first time I did it it took me a total of 10 minutes, but now that I have done it I can upgrade my I9 Memory in just a few minutes. Actually it takes me longer to get the screw drivers out and put them away than it takes for me to change out the memory. This is the great thing about most of the electronics from china they are easy to update and integrate into your day to day life style.

Getting Started - In Ghost Hunting

Ghost hunting has become more popular now than it ever was, that is because of popular TV shows like Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, a Haunting as well as many others over the years. These shows have helped to peek people’s interests to start investigating the paranormal. I have to say these shows have also raised my ambition to start investigating ghosts, but where do you start, what equipment do you need and how much will it cost to get started? These were some of my questions also. I started by doing research to find out what I would need to get started, I mean you look at all these shows and they have all this equipment that must cost a fortune, the thought of purchasing all that equipment is overwhelming to say the least, I mean who can really afford that much $ to start? I know I couldn’t.

Before we go any further let me say this first, if you are looking at getting started ghost hunting for the MONEY AND FAME, then get ready for disappointment, not to say it might not happen but chances are slim, most people get into Ghost hunting because they are interested in the paranormal, they look at it as a hobby not a profession, if they manage to make a profit then that’s awesome, heck if they manage to make enough money to cover their expenses that’s great, but for most part this will be like any other hobby and it will cost you to do. The best place to start is by contacting an organization in your area as Ghost investigating is becoming more popular, causing groups to spring up all over the place. If you are adamant about starting your own group or there is not a group in your area then by all means go for it.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO START INVESTIGATING?
These are the two most popular questions and to be honest you do not need much in the way of equipment, however the first thing I would recommend is to make sure you have a partner, someone who can and will go with you on these investigations. Not so much because a spirit may hurt you but what if you just plain got hurt or lost? Once you have established a second or maybe even a team the next thing you need is Knowledge, Ghost hutng is just like day to day life, the more you know the better you are at what you do. There are plenty of books out there and any one of them would be good to start, however I would recommend “The Art of Ghost Hunting, by Jaeson K. Jrakman “although I have not read this particular book it seems to be the most suggested on online.
Once you have got all that taken care of you need some equipment, but what equipment do you need to get started? This may surprise you but you can get started with only a few items, you really don’t need all that technical equipment you see them use on TV, although it would be nice. The following list is all one really needs to break into this hobby:

1. Notebook and Pencil – this is a simple tool that you can use to keep notes of events, sounds as well as places that you have been

2. Digital Recorder – this can be a simple handheld recorder typically used for EVP ( Electronic Voice Phenomena)

3. Digital Camera – Simply for taking pictures

You may only need one or two of these items which you can buy just about anywhere or you can buy a Ghost hunting Starter Kit .

There is more equipment and tools available (EMF detectors, Night Vision adaptors, Digital thermometers, Camcorders, K2 meters) however you should consider the amount of money you are willing to spend on the equipment, the more high tech one gets with the equipment the more the equipment Costs.

WHERE TO GO AND INVESTIGATE:
Well like everyone else start buy doing some research, check old newspapers or even your local library for guides to ghosts and haunted locations in your area, you can also start with grave yards and possibly your own home or maybe a friends, These are good places to get your feet wet and train your senses, I mean let’s be honest you will need to get some experience before even you can say you are good at it, you need to train your eyes, ears and feelings, and this all takes time, What I don’t recommend is for you to start going into condemned building and restricted areas. As stated earlier, NEVER go without back-up, and your dog and a cell phone is not classified as back up, it’s too easy to get lost, hurt or arrested. You should always visit the area in the daylight to get familiar with the surroundings and always have permission from the owner every time you go there. You should always wear appropriate clothing. Most of the places are going to be dusty and dirty so leave the makeup at home and take this seriously. Always be aware of what you're getting into and carry some sort of ID just in case you are arrested for trespassing (which you won’t be as you got permission from the owners prior to entering) as ID is always good to keep on you for many reasons.

Nano Copy Review

Well as everyone knows there are a lot of copied items on the market and some are exactly that, cheap copies, however there are a few out there that are just as good if not better than the originals. One such copy is the iPod Nano, We have taken the time to test and re-test our Nano copy and we are now going to share what we have found, the good and the bad.
At first glance the copy appears to be just like the original, although it does weigh less than the real nano it comes with just about every feature the original has. We first tested the durability of the device by putting it through a vigorous tests, we did the stair drop, the sidewalk drop heck we even dropped it off the deck onto the driveway, and with each test it continued to work, Next we wanted to put music onto the device, now because these units do not work with iTunes directly we had to convert all our music files to MP3 files and then simply copy them into the music folder on the device, if you are not sure how to do that then read our article “ converting WMA to MP3”.
Now most copies come saying they have 8GB of memory when in reality they are only 2GB, this particular unit has the FULL 8GB, Next we wanted to test the motion function of the device, when it is turned does the screen adjust and turn also well guess what, it did, If we tipped the nano on its side the screen adjusted so that it would be upright just like the original nano does. The only person who will know this is not a real nano would be YOU, this particular item is as good as the real nano and comes with a few more features that nano does not. The down side to the copy is battery life is a little shorter when being used allot but overall an exceptional piece of work. Well worth the price and then some weather you purchase from us or someone else we highly recommend this great MP4 player.

Convert WMA files to MP3

For those of you who have purchased the I9 phone or are thinking of purchasing one because it doubles as a cell phone and a media player, we are here to help you figure out how to put your music and contacts onto it.

First and foremost the I9 is a copy of the apple IPhone and there for does not work with I-Tunes directly, instead it works with Windows Media player. Now everyone’s question has been “how do I get my music onto the I9?” well first you need to convert your current library to MP3 format and then sync with the I9, and we will give you step by step instructions to help you accomplish this task. Trust us when we say once you have done it once it is as easy as cutting a piece of cake.

1st you will need an Audio Conversion Program, we use Switch, although there are many other types out there, we have found this one to be more the style we like to work with.
This explanation will assume that we have a certain CD we want, but as you will see if you are wanting to use your current library you will just skip down a few steps.
First rip a new CD with Windows Media Player. It should look like this as it is being ripped by WMP:

Once that task is done you will need to start up the Switch program, what you will see is a blank screen like this:

Now click on "Add Folder" and you can select the new CD by looking in My Documents/My Music:You are almost ready. The last step is to pick the output format of your choice:

Now you need to choose MP3 in order to transfer your music to the I9, but as you can see the program has quite a range of options.

With the audio input the audio output format selected, as well as the destination disk specified, all you have to do now is select ALL the files to convert and click the "Convert" button on the top right. As with most programs now days you will get a progress window like this:

You now have MP3 audio files from your WMA format files.

Now to place your new MP3 files onto your I9 phone:
Ok plug your I9 phone into your computer using the supplied USB cord. Now go to “my computer” look for the drive letter that your device is connected to and open it, this should open up and show you the folders you currently have on your I9, look for the “my music” folder once you have found that you simply highlight the folder that now has your songs you just converted (to MP3 format) and drag it over the (my music) folder and select copy. When the status bar is gone you have now finished putting music on your new I9 phone.

Summer fun is upon us

Well with winter gone and spring here that means there is only two more seasons left in the year and my favourite is the next one on the list, SUMMER. If you are like most of us you can’t wait till summer, holidays, bbq’s and just fun times with friends and family. There is just so much we can do in the summer that we can’t do through the rest of the year.
For some summer is a great time to just stay at home, do yard work and just relax, for others it’s a time where they load up the family and go camping in the woods. But for most of us no matter what we do with our summers we are always sure to get next to water somewhere along the way, I mean it really isn’t summer unless you have been to a lake for a day at least once.
For my family summer always means we will be loading the trailer and heading to the family cabin in BC, it’s a family reunion type of idea and the kids just love it as they get to see their cousins from Australia not to mention they rather enjoy the lake as it is cool and refreshing as well as their is the LETS GO TUBING thing they ask for every hour on the hour. Unfortunately the younger ones don’t always get to go tubing as the bigger kids like to go fast and hard, so they tend to spend a little more time on land.
So last summer we took out to MOTORIZED BUMBER BOATS for them and let me tell you they had a blast, while the other kids were out tubing the younger ones AND the older ones ( that didn’t like tubing) stayed at the cabin and all got wet and putted around and shooting each other with the water cannons. To be honest it came to a point where everyone wanted to bumper boat and not tubing. I guess this summers project is to get two more bumper boats to make sure there is enough so everyone can enjoy the hot days of summer at the lake.
