iPod or HiPod

As we are all aware the iPod has made a huge impact on society around the world and now the iPod Touch is sweeping the nation as the most sought after MP4 player. But now a new MP4 player has hit the market it's called the Hi Pod and yes you guessed it it's from China.
I have had the opportunity to use the Hi Pod and will share my thoughts about the product.
The Hi Pod looks and feels very similar to the actual iPod, although smaller and lighter it has many of the same features as the original. it's sound quality is the same as any of the other digital MP4 players on the market, the feel of the unit is of course light and cheap however as I tend to be clumsy it can handle several falls.
Uploading music is a bit of a chore (as with any player) due to it doesn't support iTunes directly, instead there is software (comes with) that allows you to transfer music to and from the unit. Another function that the Hi Pod can't support is Wi-Fi, which to be honest is a great feature to have especially if you are sitting at an airport hot spot waiting for your next flight or someone you can listen to music and check emails, it's a great way to kill some time.
The Hi Pod is a great alternative especially for people who don't have the cash for the real iPod Touch as the price is considerably less, an iPod Touch 8GB goes for around $199.99 Canadian where a Hi Pod Touch 16GB is under $100.00 Canadian.
